The best mileage I ever got was down hill with a tail wind and the key turned OFF. That is the key to good mileage, turning that key off. All kidding aside I get about 15 average city & freeway for a stock 2008 2 door Rubicon. Have a great day.

maybe I should get rid of the lift and rims and tires and just get some rubicon wheels and tires. I would love to get closer to 20mpg.

Wow and there is hope...I'm averaging 19.9 going to work back roads, haven't tried the Highway yet...I know I can break 21 or maybe 22 when and if I take it on a long trip, but for that I will drive my TL and get well over 32 mpg and will get there faster.... , my JK is my work horse...

my local jeep dealership advertised a wrangler with 23mpg...I also know that the EPA docks the actual mileage by 20% of what they put on reports so these ppl getting 22-24mpg are prob getting that, I think 26mpg is a stretch unless ur hypermiling

My X gets usually 17.5 city driving is what I do mostly. But the other day I was getting 21.5 I had a pic but photobucket and JK forum do not play well together??? why is that??

I use the method mentioned above to calculate my MPG and not rely on what the dash says also, but I have to say the dash has been very accurate so far.
