Default New shifter knob

Hey everyone!

I had an old dud grenade laying around and decided to make it into a shift knob. I am trying to figure out how to fill the inside so that it rides without rattling, I may fill it with a foam, or rubber, or epoxy, but I wanted your opinion.

Thanks

Default i read somewhere a time ago

that you go to walmart buy a cheap shift knob remove the treaded insert by cutting all the outer layer off and then drill out the hole to that size and isert the threaded part or fill in whatever it might be ! hope this helps sounds easy but nothing goes that way when you try and do it lol id try adding duct tape or electrical tape and just push it on lol

1 filling it with foam in a can
2 jam it on to make the hole
3 once the size hole is good and tight take some clear silicone RTV in and shove it on.

I did this with the shifter in my work truck that would pop off or rattle while shifting into 2nd and 4th And it has been working better than ever for the past 2 years
