Next Wrangler Could Get Eight-Speed Automatic Transmission
Amid all the next-gen Wrangler rumors, the eight-speed automatic appears to be a pretty solid bet.

I would be very surprised if it doesn't have an eight speed auto transmission. My wife's 2014 Grand Cherokee has an eight speed auto transmission that works very well. The 2015 Challenger Hellcat I have on order will have a different (much beefier) eight speed auto transmission. That seems to be the new standard, so I would expect the next Wrangler to have its own version on an eight speed auto transmission as well.
