Plasti dip removal... help!
Dipped my wheels a little over 2 years ago. Love the look. I'm peeling the dip off to either paint or powder coat them. Problem is that it's been on there so long, it's pretty brittle. I put 4 coats on, but it's peeling off in small pieces, and there's a lot that will be ridiculous to get off. Is there something I can spray on there to help this process?

I had the same issue. I found that reapplying a few coats made it peel off like it was fresh.
If you don't want to do that, WD40 will eat it off, but it makes a mess.

(plasti-dip)
One my get away with using easy off oven cleaner.. I found while repaintings a few items.. and I made a mistake or the paint run.. I'd use the easy off oven cleaner there after. Although I've never tried to use this in conjunction with any plasti-dip or even on the rims.. I would try on a nondescript area of the rim first..
I guess there is a lesson here somewhere.. thus I'll never use Plasi-dip on any of my stuff. I've seen what happen to good stuff over time..

I'm going to soak the remaining areas in WD-40 and use an abrasive plastic sponge. Plasti dip is good for what it does, but the videos made it look like a 5 year old could pull it off in one sheet! Once I get this off, I'll either bed line them or have them powder coated... But no more Plasti dip! I'll keep you posted...

My daughter sprayed smiley faces on the shop door, I didn't notice for a week or so, it wouldn't peel and it's not a smooth surface tried picking at it for a bit. Grabbed a rag, dumped some gas on it and the plasti dip wiped right off.
