Fast food drive thru here too, Cashier what happened to your doors ? I answer ran in to a nasty pothole and all 4 doors went flying away.
My classic answer is: I did not purchase the doors option such a waste of money.

I had a 40 something yr old woman tell me my Jeep was "badass"
I always get the "what happened to your doors" and I always get comments from little kids...

My standard response is. It was either doors or big tires and I chose the tires.

Guy in minivan - "I guess you can't drive that in the winter "
Me - "sure - I drive it all year"
Guy in minivan - "what do you do if it snows"
Me - "I put the roof and doors on before the first snow"
Minivan Guy's wife shaking her head - "He's an idiot"
Group of African American guys on sidewalk - "yo Holmes, we got your doors" .. they all laugh
I've got a Porsche and the JK. I get more looks and comments when driving the JK - it's not even close

When I was leaving my tire shop one morning there was a little kid with his mother watching me get into my Jeep, so I made it look like I went to close my door and realized it wasn't there. Looked at the kid all goofy, threw my arms up and and said "where's my doors?" He held this look of amazement and worry at the same time since it was just starting to rain a bit while his mom was cracking up. I'm guessing he'll be a Jeeper someday hehehe.
