Rear Window Defrost

Repair of the rear glass heating grid lines, bus bars, terminals or pigtail wires can be accomplished using the Mopar® Rear Window Defogger Repair Kit, part number 04549275AB. The kit contains conductive epoxy.
You should be able to have the service department print off the instructions for you.

My rear tab came off a year ago and I found zero help online at least nothing that has lasted long. I did come across this: https://www.frostfighter.com/index.htm
It also is a two part epoxy that has silver in it so it can conduct the current needed to make the defrost lines work.
All I can say is that's it been a year since I've done the repair and it's still holding strong. In fact it seems that the defrost lines clear up faster.
It's very easy to use, just mix equal parts of A and B for 45secs. Then just dab a little on the tab and glass then place the tab onto the glass.. Heat the area with a hair dryer for 30min so the epoxy cures then reattach the line.

Update: went to dealership today. Dropped off the jeep and got a call an hour later. Said they have used conductive epoxy in the last but doesn't work well. Quoted me $396 for parts and labour for a totally new rear window.

Told him I would be by at lunch to pick up jeep and not to do anything to it. Got there told him I'd be taking to local windshield business. He then told me I should get service maintenance package #4 based on my mileage. Geezus.

Went to local windshield business. He laughed when I told him what they were going to do.

He took my jeep in today and is putting conductive epoxy to reattach defrost cable. Keeping it overnight because it takes a long time to set.

Asked how much I would owe him.

He said "Nothing."

Beat it dealership. And PS. Service and Sales manager getting an email in the morning. 3rd jeep I've bought from them, and they try to BS me about this repair.
