It takes time to redesign the affected parts, validate them, test them, create or modify tooling, and then get them into production, test them again, and distribute them. None of that happens quickly. Also, new production gets first priority, for too many good reasons to list here. It is frustrating, but there's not much that they can do about it, usually.
