Angry Replacement Key Fob

Help!!! I need a replacement key for my 2008 Wrangler JK. The key fob electronics no longer work and I was reading up on how to replace it with a new key fob but since the electronics no longer work on the old key, how can I program a new one? Can't find anywhere online that says how to replace without the original fob still working. Also, where is the best place to get a replacement that has the electronics in it that doesn't cost an arm and a leg???

I hadn't run across that before. The key-by-picture is a pretty interesting service.

When I purchased mine it only had 1 key. I went to my local ACE Hardware store and they had the key blank and everything to reprogram. It wasn't cheap as far as keys go, but it was under $100 and completed in about 15 minutes.

That's a great bit of info. I was under the impression that if you didn't have two keys, you could not reprogram except by going to the dealer. And we all know how pricey that can be!
