Satellite Radio Antenna

Can someone tell me where they hide the satellite radio antenna on the unlimited? Thanks.

Passenger side, above sound-bar, under the padding. Unzip the padding and it looks like a black PC mouse on a mousepad.

Oh man.... you mean my dealer was wrong when he told me that the two bump stops on the hood were the antenna?? No joke.

Does the antenna receive through the padding and the soft top, or the padding and the hardtop? That's the reason I haven't purchased it yet, because apparently the antenna will not receive very well through even a window.

i am kinda curious on how the reception is also. i installed my own and in my area i always have the 'aquiring signal' message. this is on a 2000 jeep grand cherokee. all i do when it happens is unplug the attennea and plug it right back in. hard to do when driving with a venti starbucks in hand:eek2: so i hope it will be better in my 08 sahara when i get it:yup: since i wont be able to easily unplu the attennea

I have no problems with my Sirius... great reception.

Yes, I notice that overhanging trees on the passenger side cause it to lose reception for a few seconds. It happens in the same spots all the time.
With no trees overhead, I have had no issues.

I have noticed that the reception on my JK's satellite radio cuts out more than the one I had in my Cherokee. I'm pretty sure it's due to the placement on the passenger side.

Can the antenna be mounted on the driver's side instead? It wouldn't cut out due to trees as often.

I have XM radio, and have the little black magnet antenna. The dealer mounted it on the hood of the jeep, between the two rubber things. It took me about 3 hours before i noticed it. It fits in with all the other stuff on the hood =)
