To sell or not to sell
I have a 2007 JKU with 60k miles and a brand new engine/transmission with accessaries and brain I got from a friend who installed a Hemi. Question is should I sell both and buy a 2013 JKU or should I keep my 07 because I have this new engine on standby?

I say keep what you have and enjoy it for as long as you can - good luck!!

Keep your money and drive the '07 with the backup guts.

You gotta be HAPPY! If you can waste some money on a 13 then go for it. I just traded my 2011 for a 2013.

Thanks for the replies... other thoughts?

If it was me, sounds like you have a good solid jeep to deal with now. I'd wait a bit to let the bugs get worked out of the new models then go from there. Less money is no issue, yeah go for a 2013:dontknow2:

I'd say no. More and more reports are coming out with issues about the Pentastar engine having problems too. Just keep what you have - don't get raped on a trade-in.

Man, you are in a great position either way.
You could sell the spare engine/trans, and use the money along with the '07 as trade in for a 2013. Or you keep it all for a really long time.... Or sell the stuff and mod your '07 like crazy. Or trade it in and sell the stuff for mod money for the new JK. Have fun !! |
Did you not get the lifetime powertrain warranty with your 07? I thought on all 07 and 08 models they offered the lifetime powertrain... I know mine has it and I have an 08.

I was thinking about all of the different options I have with the extra stuff like selling both. I drove to Ouray Colorado a couple of weeks ago and realized just how little power my jeep had while driving through the mountains. So, I was thinking that I would either buy a super charger or sell everything and buy the new JK |
