Good luck, I'm sure you'll like it. I just hate to see anyone buy something and not be happy with the purchase

Great advice, People without previous experience with Wrangler's who buy a vehicle only on looks or maybe cause somebody else has one, is really taking a gamble- an expensive gamble. I'll also add how surprised I am that someone could post such a question on this forum and get unbiased opinions.

I thought the:
SE models had the 2.7L V6
SXT model had the 3.5 High Output V6

I thought so too but our dealer used to get it with a 3.5 engine and 18" R/T style rims....which was a good deal

If you can afford the financial hit on the trade, go for it. Just drive the Wrangler for a while. They have come a long way as far as refinement, but are still rough around the edges because it's a Jeep thing.

It sucks on road IMO. Maybe nice if you have never owned a stick before.
I never thought of that. The wifey is scared to drive my JK when we get it. The HA might make it much easier, huh...

No one has asked you what you plan on doing with the jeep, You did mention you will be moding it in the future but for what? Trails, rock climbing, mud running, or just for fun. Also like others have said the ride or feel of the jeep will be different. I own a 2 door 2008 x rescue green jeep and my wife has a 2 door 2009 Sahara. Both are stock and have the same tires, both are capable off road just as they are, but they do seem to ride and feel different. Do you have a family? if not why the Unlimited? if I had it to do again I would go for a Rubi but that's just me talking. Try all the models if you can, look at the price and what you want to do with your jeep and buy the one you like best! I would not trade your car in but sell it outright and use the cash on your new purchase! Good luck and let us know how you did!

Rex, thanks for the info about having a family, I'm getting married in december (if not sooner lol) I chose the Unlimited because it's bigger and taller, im gona test drive the Sahara Unlimited today, I don't mind getting the Rubi, but our dealer never order or sells Rubi's, only Sport and Sahara and that's it, about my mods, I want it for Desert Offroading (im from the Middle East), wish me luck on my test drive today and thanks again!
