That would be my point. BTW: That can buy roughly twice as much gas as back then, so there have been some modest improvements.

what does that mean? I've never had a cop do that. They ask for my license and insurance, which is in my wallet, but if they asked for registration I wouldn't know what the hell they are talking about.

If that ever happens, I expect I'll do the obvious and tell him it's stored in the back of the Jeep. But, since the last time a cop stopped me I was 18 years old, I'm really not all that worried about that (I'm now 60).

Well then, there goes the common complaint that gas costs are rising faster than our paychecks.
