Suspension question
 

hi guys, Im in need of some advice.
I have a 2012 jku and am in the market for a new suspension. I am wondering if I actually need a long arm or coilover kit or if I can just stick with a standard spring/shock lift kit. Im looking for the best on road ride possible, but still want to kick some ass at moab next year:cool:. The super original noob question Im sure. Thanks for the input!

You dont need coilovers or a long arm. Stick with a nice mid arm suspension with quality shocks and you will be golden for the type of driving/wheeling you do

Thanks for the quick response! If you don't mind me asking, what setup are you running?

2.5" Rock Krawler Pro Long Arm with Bilstein 5160 remote reservoir shocks. I also have 40" tires and one ton axles and tend to do more extreme offroad trails hence the need for a long arm.

My advice to you would be to get a high quality lift like one from Rock Krawler in the 2.5" range. Anything higher and you are going to want to start looking at driveshafts which is an added cost. Couple that with a nice shock and 35s and you will be ready to handle probably at least 80% of Moab.

I am sure you will get several differing opinions on here though and some great vendors like Marcus at River City Offroad or Rebel Offroad can get you squared away with a complete package to meet your needs.
