It sounds like a sweet deal, but exactly what are your intentions
once you own it?
Will you use it to cruise the mall and never see dirt and mud ...
Or are you looking to build it up into a true wheeler?

This is a Great price, but for all the extras that come with it...
Dana 44's, E-discos, 4.10 R&P, M/T tires, etc.
If your going to do only lite off-roading only once in a while,
then this is the vehicle for You.
If Your looking to do some serious off-roading more than once
a month, then I'm going to tell you to steer clear and get yourself
a base model or keep the one you have.

For the amount of money You'll be dumping into a Rubi to make it
"Bullet-proof" will be better spent on a base model. Plus, you won't
be tossing out any of the things that come stock on a Rubi. Like the
previously mentioned items.

First to go will most likely be the Stock M/T tires and 4.10 R&P.
You'll swap those out for much bigger meats and you'll bump the 4.10's
up to 4.88's or 5.38's. And let's not forget about the Rubi suspension....
You'll be tossing that out too so you can stuff the bigger tires under it
without worry about and rubbing or over-extension of the shocks.

Next to go would be the "weak" Dana 44's and axles.
You'll want to go with a nice meaty Dana 60's.
You might keep the e-discos, but there are benefits to upgrading this
as well. Your bigger tires will demand that you replace them with something
more stout.

At this point You'll be looking at your Rubi and wondering, Why the Hell you
paid extra for the "Rubicon" lettering, when You've just replaced all the stuff
that made it a Rubi in the first place.

I'm just giving you the facts as I see them.
Why spend 30 or 35 thousand on something your only going to tear apart,
when You can keep what you have and spend 1-2 hundred on some stencils.

The grass is always going to look greener.

Just my : 2cents :

p.s.; the information I've provided is only the tip of the iceberg. There are so
many things needed to replace on the "Rubi" it would take me a month to list
them.

Best Wishes on Your Choice.

30k for a new rubi ??

I owe 24 on my sport I bought 6 months ago and they are willing to pay it off ...
Besides all the rubi benefits also keyless and power options are the main difference Should I ? My payment would go up 50 bucks a month

IMHO 50 bucks a month over the life of a loan goes an awful long way when pricing things like lockers gears and the other things that can all be retrofitted. This is especially true if you are increasing the number of payments.
