Tail lamp guards ???
I have cracks in both my tailight lenses... both I figure are from some manufacturing defect. I can't detect any 'hits', and in fact found one in the showroom with the same cracks developing. (Although I can't rule out grocery carts or other urban hazzards
So, going to the dealer tomorrow to work this out. My question is... has anyone used the Mopar tail lamp guards? I normally am not much of a cosmetic accessory guy, and I can't decide if these actually offer some protection, or are simply expensive cosmetics.
Any thoughts from those of you who have tried them, or even decided against them???
Thanks

I have em, I can't comment on protection, as I haven't been off road since installing em. They were a bitch to install though as the screws they want you to use are not long enough. I would go with the Rugged Ridge ones. I heard they fit perfect, they offer more protection and they are half the price.

I've got the Mopar tail lamp guards. I put them on because I got 'em for free from my dealer... but I actually really like them-- I even banged one and it kept my tail light from breaking.... who would've thought!
BTW, mine were super easy to install... the screws that came with the worked fine...
with that said, I'm sure there are other options that are more affordable and just as good.

Thanks for all the replies. The dealer got me both new tail lamp assemblies, under warranty (that would have been $125 each side).
That, and all the other stuff they have done for me, I went ahead with the Mopar guards.
I have never in my life experienced, or even heard about such a competent and helpful dealer service department. You can eat off the painted floor, you can walk back and watch the tech work on your vehicle, and when something is wrong, the service manager really goes to bat for the customer...
They are a 40 minute drive for me, as opposed to the jerks 1 mile from my house... but I feel very lucky to have found such a good dealership!
Stuart Jeep in Stuart Florida is the best!
