i am ordering this the day it is available and putting it on the day i get it.

i run a 295/70-18 trail grappler and it's heavy! i dont want a rear bumper/tire carrier combo for the cost, the weight and the looks. i want to run without a rear bumper and use the Evo shackles that mount in the frame hole - better clearance, functional and less weight!

i haven't had any squeaking or rattling issues with the stock carrier and my heavier wheel/tire combo, but i put the daystar bump stops on as well within a few days. i am sure it's only a matter of time though, and this seems like the perfect solution.

i just hope that it keeps the stock 3rd brakelight as well.

i read somewhere that it will be available powder coated black - perfect!!

my 50th post!! now i can list stuff for sale on the forum!!

i think i answered my own question. from the Dozer video, it looks like it uses the stock carrier mounted on it somehow, and that it retains the 3rd brakelight since it is all one piece.

i ordered the Evo D-ring kit today in preparation for this tailgate carrier.

Bring it!!

It looks like there might be room near the hinges for a Hi-Lift jack mount. That would be sweet.

I also read on another website that the cast aluminum piece on the tailgate includes mounting provisions for a third brake light and a CB antenna. Nice!

I'd be down for a pre-order, even though they said they don't have a list over at Teraflex. If I am correct it will replace the stock hinges and then it extends beneath the stock carrier, for added support. So from what I was able to see it looked as though the tailgate now is not carrying any of the weight of the tire, the new hinge system is. Teraflex correct me if I am wrong, but that is what it looked like to me, when I was looking at it.

If pre-order is available, I want on the list now!
