Mine did the same thing and they replaced it. I promptly uninstalled, sold it, and went to a bumper and carrier set up.

That's the 1st gen that they promptly told everyone about if they are running 35 inch or larger they ship out HD upgrade right away and the smaller size was less priority until the larger tire owners were taken care of, but lots of people disregarded.
All and all TF has always taken care of myself and all others I know of.

That's great for you but they didn't contact me. My tire nearly came off going down the road. Yes, they took care of me immediately no questions asked. That is a sign of a great company. However, the issue in General is a lack proper beta testing and a rush to get a product to market. It's a very popular product and most people have no issues but they are to blame for the flaws and what comes of them.

I've been part of both sides and question is this. Did they do all their testing in house with material and products from what they made or certain specs and tolerances and later out sourced to a different company to keep up with the demand and "wanted cheaper prices" that everyone was asking for.
I worked for a race team that when we tested the main product it was great and durable. Then we didn't see it until after corporate went in and tried to save some money. Then afterwards we had to repair, fix and explain to all our racers their was an "update"
I agree products should be released with a lot of testing, but sometimes other people get involved.
I'm not sure if this was the case here but it sometimes happens

Sad to say one of my issues with my old race team wasn't out sourced parts from china it was corporate decided without talking to engineers to goto a thinner metal to save money and the company was with a reputable American company so it wasn't their fault either because of specs.
I'm just saying things might seem simple to most people of
1) why didn't they test
2) why didn't they make better product
Sometimes it isn't that simple when the final decision is made.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I really appreciate it. I sent an e-mail and called them and am just waiting to hear back from them. It sounds like they are going to send me out a new carrier. My only concern now is that the new carrier they send me will be the same as the one that broke. If there are no changes then I am considering taking it off and selling it and going a different route. I'm hoping the new one will be reinforced because I really like the set up but who knows. Thanks again for all the feedback.

Negative if it's just the adaptor that attaches the tire to carrier that broke then you'll get a new adaptor reinforced. The carrier itself I've only seen is a few paint issues and then they send you a new carrier entirely but not the adaptor

So Teraflex got back to me and they said they have never seen a carrier break where mine did so I'm assuming that the replacement part won't be reinforced which makes me think it could easily break again. Frustrating considering I only have a 35" tire and its rated for a 37". I also recall that in one of Teraflex's videos they were running a 38"X14.50" on their blue jeep.

The part they were having issues with the tire adaptor and not carrier . I personally run a 39 inch Krawler and no issues.
