Default Towing with a JK

I would like to know has anyone Towed a trailered Jeep or just towed a Jeep by some means with a 4 door JK yet. Would it handle it OK or am I just dreaming here? I have a 1991 YJ that is being used as my "OFF Roader" for now and I will be towing it with a JK Rubicon Unlimited. I just would like to know if anyone really thinks you can tow another jeep with it or not. I really don't believe the brochure....even though mine has what they call a towing option....:-)

Flat towing with a tow bar would be fine. You will be over the 3,500 lb max. towing capacity if you put it on a trailer.

Flat towed my Friends CJ-5 about 30 miles to the dunes no problem. It was better than expected.

I pull a trailer with my JK and it does a good job just make sure you have trailer brakes if you are at the 3000 LB mark or you may be asking for trouble.

I believe the brochure shows a Unlimited towing a CJ5 on a trailer.

But I'm sure its as realistic as getting a set of half doors or having a warranty that isn't questioned.

Just remember when flat towing, if you tear something up(blow a tire, break a coil spring, etc) out on the trail, you still have to figure out how to get it home. At least you can winch it up onto a trailer. Just my .02
