What’s the diff ?

Going to order my ShrockWorks Rock Sliders / Rocker Guards this weekend but can’t figure out what finish to get. :dontknow2:

What in the world is the difference between “semi-gloss black power coat” and “Textured black power coat” :dontknow2:

Is it pretty much the same black but one is shiny and one is, well, not shiny?
I really don’t want any bling on my JK… :naw:

Here are a few shots of the textured:

Personally I would go with the textured because the finish matches the fenders a little better.

as you see above, the big difference is the textured matches the fender flares if you don't have the painted variety. the semi-gloss does not, but still looks nice. If I had painted flares I'd go semi-gloss, otherwise textured.

one other thing to consider is since these are sliders, the textured isn't quite as easy to repaint if you're just doing a rattle can job. If you scratch it up, which you will, you can more easily do touchups with semi-gloss.

I have a semi-gloss finish on my sliders and it looks just fine. Purejeep's finish isnt quite as shiny as shrock though.

I preferred the semi-gloss. Here's a picture of what that looks like:

I ordered mine unpainted and painted them myself. Used a quality primer and flat black rust preventitive POR
On past Jeeps, when I've ordered heavy parts such as rock rails or skid plates, they almost always arrive with the finish scraped up anyway. Since I painted mine myself, It will be simple enough to touch them up when I need to

Anyone got a pic of anthracite metallic finish? If no pics, what exactly does it look like?

I'm running the semi gloss on my sliders and bumper and love the look. Easy to touch as mentioned earlier too.

Check out Schrockworks site. The black JK they have is running the anthracite front bumper. It's silvery.

Just buy a 10.00 rattle can of bed liner at your local auto parts store and spray them...... Now they are textured and done cheap.....

Its what i use for touch up on mine. and they grip.
