I envision something like a mesh net that can cover cargo on the floor of the 2-dr JK with the back seat either folded forward or removed. For example, if I had a cooler and camping equipment, this would help keep things from bouncing around.

Any readily available options?

Try Raingler netting. They might not have quite what you are looking for. They are the only Jeep specific netting I can think of, but there are tons of universal options if you google truck netting etc

I'll have to find it again, but there was a web company selling all sorts of different sizes of netting. I want to get one for the back for when I'm on the trail so everything stays put, but if you do a search on Google or other search engine for cargo net, you'll probably find something.
