For me it depends on where we are at...seems like when we are coming/going to a trail head the other jeepers wave back (most of the time) but in town (most of the time) they don't. Could be a JK thing but I myself have missed a wave because I was checking out the other person's jeep...I know because the kids say that guy/girl in that jeep waved at you.

You're right in the city alot of people don't care. they're in the rush mode.
In the country everybody relaxes and has a good time. Then the waves come out. :)

Around here (primarily small town feel, but near a smallish city also) people must love my unlimited, lifted on 35s. Pretty much every jeeper waves at me!

Of course there are the occasional non-jeeper type folk - you know, mid-40s woman just driving her husbands stock YJ or TJ to work - that don't wave, but don't let it get to me...

This morning I was driving back home after a quick trip to Tinker Air Force Base. Fellow in a muddy TJ (you know the type, windshield wipers cleared the an area so he could see out) and in uniform is headed the opposite direction. I give a great big wave, and he returns a great big one back. Here's a little piece of it for you ...

I don't get a lot of waves returned in Denver either, and I have a 2-door.
Just wanted to share if it helps you to feel any better!

I've been known to be so focused on the road that I didn't even notice an approaching Jeep until its too late. Funny thing is, I still wave even after they have passed.

Maybe you're doing it wrong? :bleh:

...seriously though, at first I would hang my arm out the window and wave like you would on a motorcycle, even in Moab no one would wave back... but if you flip your hand up while on the steering wheel people wave... i got one in my neighborhood the other day.
