Windshield pitting
 

I have these pin-sized pits on my windshield most likely from small stones. I would guess. We have numerous 50 mph winds and I'm lucky only small stones are flying at me and not birds or tree limbs. My former TJ had tons of em but it was so heavily pitted that one would not even be noticeable. On my new slightly curved JK windshield I have one pit the size of a period, but visible. This is hardly a chip because I've had them too. I hear hard as nails is recommended for these pin-sized pitting problems but does anyone have another solution (other than to drive in the direction of the wind)?
