Wire rope winches cable lube
 

After reading the covered or not covered winch thread, I was wondering what people use on their wire for protection, lubricant, rust preventive , etc. I spray mine with krol oil , no set time or intervals, just when ever I think about it or mostly after it’s been raining for a while.
probably any kind of light oil would work, you don’t want it sticky when using it.
anyway, krol oil penetrating oil is what I use, what do ya’ll use?

I mix it up, Ive used acf50, rust cure 3000, fluid film, kleen flo and wd40 spray gel.

I use Fluid Film as it is nice and sticky/waxxy
