Curious what you guys thought if they stuck their dual-clutch in a Wrangler. They talked about improving the 6 speed, using the dual-clutch and getting rid of the 4 speed (for Chrysler as a whole)

well i was going in to see about ordering my 2010 jk tomorrow. I see there are a number of upgrades coming for 2010 so i may have to wait and see how this all pans out but i doubt there will be a diesel, that should have been on the top of their agenda.

Here is the new product plan..
According to the chart, Wrangler gets a major modification in 2010 (most likely a new engine) and a special edition in 2011.
The Grand Cherokee gets its Jeep redesign for 2010 and stays that way for a long time.
The Commander is gone after next year except for overseas.
The Patriot, Compass and Liberty all get replaced with Fiat products in 2013.

Wrangler diesel officially officially confirmed for North America-potentially, diesels for ALL Jeep models! Quote from Allpar:
Jeeps will be sold with diesels in the US because they will be sold with diesels in Europe.
