Regarding the Zombie genre stuff, I think it just fits well with offroading. If your prepared for Zombies, your pretty much prepared for anything. Most Jeep mods already revolve around protection, of the vehicle and the driver, and recovery. Since offroading mods, and mods you would want for the zombie apocalypse overlap so well, it's fun to joke around about rigging up for the zombie apocalypse. I also happen to be a huge fan of zombie survival games and movies, so that's another plus for me.
Look up Zombie Squad forums for a bit of what I'm talking about. It's a general preparedness/survivalist forum with a subforum on bug out vehicles that's fun to turn to for mod inspiration. The site revolves around surviving against zombies, but it's all tongue-in-cheek. No one actually is expecting an onslaught of zombies to come their way.
Back on topic, this is a must have for the zombie apocalyse. Use it to get your Jeep unstuck, dig a toilet, or lob off zombie heads. I once went after a copperhead with one of these. It took the head off in one swing (The edge is a blade, so it doubles as an axe), and left a gash in the street pavement without much effort. I use this thing all the time, especially while camping. It's a great firepit tool, tree limb cutter, and for digging the latrine.

As for now, I keep this in my jeep:
Crovel multi-tool.
** that picture is actually my kitchen floor. It was just for photo purposes, the Crovel is really in the back of my jeep waiting for me to find a place to mount it.**

Retractable pontoons in case you get in a real bind. According to Yahoo Answers, zombies can't swim
We need a zombie smiley
Best I found....
Could also use-
Portable generator
Electric fencing
Insulators
All in case you needed to set up emergency perimeter if you're backed in a corner. Yea they are already dead and can't feel pain- but supposedly it was done and worked before. If nothing else the generator could be multi-functional

The perfect zombie jeep is already here, factory made Jeep J8 JGMS for the military, google it, it has everything you'd need, and it looks badass.......... Either the Light Patrol vehicle, or the tan one with 2 guns(TWO!) 50cal and 240B on it! They even ran this thing through balistics and blast tests...
