Default Badlands trail run 7-18-09

So the wife and I wanted to get some trail time in before we leave for Moab in a few weeks so we decided to test our mettle out at the Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, IN. We were joined by a friend of ours from work who has been itching to wheel his Ext Cab Dodge Ram and a fellow JK owner JT out of NJ who was visiting a friend here in the midwest. All in all a great day, weather was pretty good, no rain, no breakage and I think everyone in the group was pretty surprised at how well the Ram did. She took everything we threw at her and then some. If you would like to check out the pic's from the day click on this link. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/w...0EZsWzJs5bsnOA I'll try and add pic's to the post when I have some extra time.

I think my buddy with the Ram was having more DURF than anyone in the park that day. Though he claimed our 8yr old was peer pressuring him to keep going through the mud I think deep down he was embracing his inner child. I appreciate the offer and for some things it would have been nice to have someone leading that knows the park a l'il better. On the flip side it was pretty cool to kind of stumble along and just explore the trails.

Thank you for sharing. Our local club is trekking out to the badlands next month (867 mile drove each way from Long Island NY).

Have you or anybody that has been to the badlands also been to Rausch? I'd like to know how the park compares. It's a long drive for us..

Thanks man

I don't know anyone personally who has been to both. Maybe throw up a post in the Great Lakes staging area to see if anyone there has.

This is one thing I miss from living in the Midwest, but then again I am only 4 hrs from Moab now...I think I got the better end of the deal.
