Stuck
Well, I took the Infidel out for a good run on a few trails south of Chicago. Of course a few bottles of liquid courage were involved, and everything was going smooth until......the trail ended. It looked passable. I swear it did. My friend who is a more experienced Jeeper said it looked like no problem at all. (IT DIDN'T AT 4AM!!!) So we started to go, mud was flying we were having a blast. Then it stopped, and sank and sank. The next thing I knew we were past the axles in really soft muck. Unbeknown to us we had ended up in a reedy area of the back end of a lake we didn't know existed. No problem right? We were 3 miles from his house and we hiked back to get his 4x4 Chevy, which got stuck as well. Luckily we finally got a hold of a friend of ours that has a F350 Diesel with a 6" lift, and 38" Swampers. So 2 (yes I said 2) tow chains later the Infidel was rescued from her boggy grave. Only one little bit of damage which I consider my self lucky on was the lower stock plastic front motor cover. Next time I go when its light out and I go without the bottles of liquid courage. But a fun time was had by all even though I was up to my knees in bog muck, and eaten alive by mosquitoes.
