As far as I'm aware there are no public areas in MA where you can legally wheel. Think it has to be on private land. There's quite a few trails NH but never came across any in MA

I'm also in MA. Closer to Boston, actually. Got my Rubicon in November and i have not taken it off road yet. There doesn't seem to be anything close by. I think our best bet would be in NH. Doesn't seem like anyone will tell you where the trails are located unless you join an off road club.

There is the Freetown Fall River State Forest, but that has closed for the season. I'll probably check that out this spring. There are also trails out in the western part of the state. For now, i'm hoping for blizzard to have some fun lol.

Check out exploringNH, if you go on a trail ride with them and show your responsible/respectful they'll give you access to a map that has all the trails in NH

I'm in MA as well and have been doing some looking. Although not trails, you can g et a season pass for the cape cod national seashore to wheel on the beach. Might be worth it living in Plymouth.

From my understanding there are Class 6 roads. they are legal roads that are not managed. The few i've seen are worse then fire roads but not super crazy!! A Stock Rub would be fine.

There are a bunch of clubs you can join; nea4wd.org ? Index page

Also, find Jeep JKs of New England on Facebook, tight group of local JK'ers and will point you in the right direction for the area. As well as meets and legal trail rides.

I used to go in Miles Standish Park and drive the fire roads, it was great how many drivable trails run off of them, some have good obstacles on them. Been some years since I moved to Texas but worth a look.

I've been out in the forest. It's quite easy to drive around. I snuck through a few closed gates and found a few mud pits, sand pits and a small hill climb. The road running through is a completely legal unmaintained road, you won't find anything fun unless you sneak off a side road.
