its not the usps, its us customs and the fact it's going to a military installation, instead of the 1/100 packages getting screened, every package gets screened. It runs through machines that detect metal, chemical compounds and a final physical screening. The only packages that get through fast are the smaller packages. roughly 15x15x12. They fit in the usps mail sacks that aren't scrutinized as much as the larger packages. The whole mail sack runs through and hardly get opened due to the pain in the ass sealing them back up. I could promise people 4 day shipping from guam to NY just cause i knew how to manipulate the system.
