2011 jeep wheels/tires on a 1997 wrangler

Default 2011 jeep wheels/tires on a 1997 wrangler
Hey guys question,
So I'm trying to sell my stock P225/75R16 wrangler wheels/tires from my 2011 wrangler, a guy from Craigslist wants to know if they will fit on his 1997 wrangler? Will they? Online I saw a chart that said 2011 is 5 lug 5 inch meanwhile 1997 was 5 lug 4.5 inch. Does that matter?

The wheels wont work without adapters due to the different bolt pattern

Not without wheel adaptors. I sold mine once to a tj and he bought the adaptors.

The wheels won't fit, but if he has 16 in wheels already he can just remount the tires on his wheels.
