Default 305/70R17's vs 315/70R17's

I have the AEV 2" spacer lift on a 2015 JKUR (pretty much stock except for lift kit). I bought some Pro-Comp Prodigy wheels in 17X9" The wheels have 4.75" backspacing. I am ready to buy new tires but want to look out for rubbing. My Jeep is a daily driver with occasional trips (about 2 times/year) to an off road park that is fairly rocky. I have seen several Jeep with a 2" lift run the 315's but am really concerned about rubbing on the trails. I plan to eventually go to flat fenders, but that is down the road sometime. I am looking at Falken Wildpeak A/T3W (315/70R17 spec at 34.6" x 12.7")...OR Toyo Open Country A/T II (305/70R17 spec at 33.9" x 12.2") I am also open to Cooper Discoverer AT3 that spec out similarly and are available in both sizes.

I have done a lot of research online and think I know what I'm talking about (just enough to be dangerous). I am looking for any first hand knowledge or advice on this lift/tire size combo. I know each lit is a little different so results may vary...Please impart your wisdom upon me!!!
Thanks in advance.

I have used the AEV 2" on 3 different rigs at one time or another and I can tell you that with stock fenders you are pushing it with 35's and you will rub. I have also ran Toyo at2's in several sizes but not in the 305/70. I have run them in 35's and 285/75-17's. I have also run cooper at3 and they just did not cut it for offroad for me. They are a great highway tire but I would not use them again. I really like the cooper ST/Maxx it is does well all around. you might check out those in 295/70-17 or 285/75-17.
These are with AEV 2" and 285/75-17 5.2 bs

this 2" AEV and 295/70-17

Another thing to look at with your tire size is weight and tread depth. The toyo at's aren't particularly deep so I wouldn't expect them to last long.

I believe the Toyo's are a much better tire than the Falken's or Coopers.

actually the Toyo AT2 extremes which they would be in these sizes, last very well and Toyo has a cool 500 mile 45 day "you don't like them for any reason you get your money back including the labor to mount and balance them" not sure any other tire does that. they also have a 50,000 mile warranty on the LT tires and 65,000 mile on the P tires. People will say the Toyos are heavy but they are about the same as any other comparable tire in the Falken line up.

For the 315/70s the issues are bump stop and rubbing in the front while turning.

With the 4.75 backspacing and that amount of lift you shouldn't have any issue with turning. I didn't.

My Jeep is very heavy, when I was running my Teraflex 2.5in springs, I actually measured out .25in lower than stock in the front, and only .25in. higher than stock in the back. My wheels where 17s with 4.75 back space, never rubbed turning.

I was running 1.25in bump stop extensions in the front, and rubbed like crazy on the factory flares Offroad. When I changed springs, went with Rock Krawler 3.5s, I changed our to 2.75in bump stop extensions on the front, and have not had any issue with rubbing out in the rocks.

If your up travel will support enough bump stop you will be fine.
