Ok team - pepper me with your opinions and knowledge. I promise I can take it :D

I'm lifting 2.5in with the Teraflex Lift Kit w/ VSS Twin Tube Shocks. Doing a lot of outdoor trail riding but nothing extreme. I like the beefier look however do NOT want to look like a crab with the tires sticking extremely far out. What are your thoughts on these two being matched together? Will I look like a crab or will it look just right? If I go with the 17x8 5.68in BS / +30 offset would that bring the wheel / tires further into the wheel well? (From my research I don't think so) This [EXAMPLE] is the closest I could find online to what it'd look like however it states a -20 offset.

Well if you want to run a 12.5 wide 35, something with a 4.5" BS and -12 offset or higher (your wheel above is -18 offset which is fine) is the proper wheel regardless of looks. IMO, whatever you do or do not do with the fenders has a bigger impact on the "look".

Backspacing on the stock rims is around 6.25". As that number goes down, the rim/tire move further out of the wheel wells. The typical recommendation for 35x12.50 is a 4.50" backspace. Some folks are running 5" or 5.25" or so with no issues, but the further you creep up there toward 6" you are setting yourself up for tire contact. Some of the issue is that all builds are different, with coils from company to company giving very different lift heights, and there can be an inch or more difference in both tire height and tire width between mfgs. etc. So yeah, no clear cut answers for what will or won't work for you, regardless of whether it worked for someone else...

And with Offset, remember that it is directly affected by the width of the rim. For example:
8" width and -25 offset = 3.5" backspace
10" width and -25 offset = 4.5" backspace
So when looking at Offset, be sure to also look at backspace to give a better indication of where the rims might end up.

Appreciate both of your insights. Further confirms that this tire / wheel combo will be just fine and not look too CRABBY. I definitely want to give myself room within the wheel well and the 4.5 BS like you said should be perfect. On to the Check Out page :D

Ended up going a completely different route and purchased the Pro Comp 7069 Wheel 17x9 with 4.75 BS

I think you're going to end up a lot happier with that Pro Comp wheel. That Black Rhino wheel you wanted before sure had a lot of little nooks and crannies for crap to get stuck in and would be a lot harder to clean IMO whereas the 7069 is a lot more simple.
