5.2" to 5.5" BS 17" JKU wheel options? dont like to overload my bearings...
Dear Forum friends
First of all have a Happy new 2019 After two OEM drag links failing on my 2007 JKU, the last one during a desert race in the Morrocan desert, I installed two days ago a SUPER NICE Teraflex HD drag link flip kit. The problem is that the stock OEM 17" MOAB wheels (7,5") with +44.45 mm offset) wont fit with it. So I had to install a set of 1 1/2" spacers. I dont like spacers NOR like the big BS wheels and the super wide stance , so I am looking for good wheels that will work with my setup... Supposedly the OEM has 6.2" BS so a 5.2" to 5,5" BS would work fine. Any ideas? Thanks Eduardo |
Buying a 4.5" BS wheel isn't going to stick out ridiculously, should be the last wheel you buy, is going to have great selection, and is going the have best resale value based on what others want. just my opinion.

I just ordered 17x9 wheels with a -12 offset / 4.5 BS. I have 33x10 pizza cutters on the truck and am wondering if I should leave the wheel spacers on. I don’t have a lift so I may need to. |

Your profile must not be up to date as it shows you have a 4" lift. If you were using factory wheels with a 1.5" spacer, you were netting 4.75" BS before (6.25 on factory wheel less the 1.5" spacer). You're not gonna want to use a wheel spacer with that new wheel or else you'd be at 3" BS and that tires would be sticking way out there.
my profile reflects my first Jeep. I’ve since sold that one and got a newer Rubicon. Wish I never sold the first one. |
