Default JKU tire question

I have a JKU Rubicon that I just installed a Clayton 2.5 inch overland plus lift and am now looking for wheels and tires. I am running the stock fenders I have heard that running 35's they will hit the fenders when offroad. So the tire I have been looking at is the Mickey Thompson baja boss A/T 295/70/R17 (34x12.00) and would be using a wheel with 4.5 backspacing. Does anyone run this size? and will it rub at full flex? Also I think the Clayton kit comes with 3 inch bump stops front and rear. Thanks for the help.

I am not running that setup; however, with a 2.5" lift and the backspacing you have I find it very difficult to envision tires rubbing. Anything is possible. Hopefully another member is running a similar setup and can provide more concise info.

What year is your JKU?

My first set of 35's (KM2's) rubbed on the rock rails and pinch seam of my 2008 JKU, even with a 3" lift. Minor fix if you are handy.

If only pinch seam, then a BFH and a tap will take care of any rubbing issues.
