I also have BFG KO2's and they are quiet. EXCELLENT in super wet conditions where I would always hydroplane before, fantastic in the sand and good on ice and snow.
They are a lighter than most other tires in the size I bought them, which is also a plus.
do think Nitto makes a great tire too. Just get one with an aggressive tread patterns because some of them look too much like car tires, and you'll regret that I would think. Nitto's are known for making a lower noise tire that performs well in all conditions, even with their more aggressive patterns.

I am in the exact same boat. I have over 50K awesome miles on my Duratracs and have started the search for my next tire. Thanks to the OP for this post. I have looked at the MT/R with Kevlar from Goodyear and the KO2s. I might head to the KO2 side next based on reviews.

I've run the BFG A/T KO2 on both of my previous vehicles (a Tacoma and a TJ) and was a big fan of them, for sure. Not aggressive enough for my current wheelin' needs, but if you're looking for a tire that's a decent all-arounder, then it would certainly be a good choice.

I know several round here running the Ridge Grappler and are very very happy, but weather in TN might be different than DFW. I run Nitto TGs, and I love Nitto in general for my use, but we're all looking for different needs/uses. If you're looking for Nittos, Discount Tire was the best price I could find, and that was even with a buddy who has wholesale pricing elsewhere. Toyo pricing is better away from DT, but you're either a Toyo or Nitto dealer since they are sister companies.

I just saw a sale on these (BFG KO2) at 4 wheel parts (online), 35 x 12.5s were $255. if you buy 4, 50 bucks off and no sales tax with free shipping. Came out to under 1000 bucks. Seems very reasonable, no?

$1000 for all 5 tires was the sale price this time last year. They also last. I've got 50k miles on mine (wheeling included) and they've still got 9/32" tread, came from the factory with 15/32". At this rate, the tires will see 100k miles.
