Need Tuner Advice

Looking at purchasing a 2015 Wrangler Sport. Has a lift, 35” tires, and 3:73 gears. The previous owner took out the programmer that was installed when it was traded in. Unfortunately I can’t get ahold of them to see what make and model the programmer was.

Two things: looking for recommendations for a simple tuner to account for the larger tires, ensure no lump mode occurs, and correct shift points with the mods.

Second concern: will setting up a new tuner “wipe” the old tuner info out and make the new tuner function correctly. Not sure on how using a new tuner would affect the old tuner as it’s removed.

I'd just get Jscan app on your phone and an approved bluetooth dongle off Amazon. that is all you really need for programming and diagnostics. It doesn't really what previous owner used on it before, or what they might have done. You can change whatever you need with the Jscan app. People aren't really "tuning" these things, and if they did, they would have had to uninstall and revert back to factory in order to have their unit be resused on a different vehicle, or sellable to someone else.
