Tire sensor question on changing wheels
I have a new 2012 sport with the 17" stock wheels. I will soon be replacing them with take-off wheels/tires from a 2012 rubicon. I do not really know how the sensors function. Will I need to do anything after I swap out the wheels?

Pretty sure you won't run into an issue with the sensor coming on... if you do, you're gonna either have to deal with it, or get the ProCal to turn it off....thats really the only thing you can do.

The wheels i will be putting on already have the sensors in them. So I am taking off wheels that have sensors and putting on wheels that have sensors.

What if Im changing out my wheels to aftermarket (ProComp 7069 with valve stems) and buy the AEV procal can I run any tire valve stem or do I still need the sensors ?

You can run any as the ProCal gives you the option to completely disable any tire pressure sensor... You can set it at 0 and the light will never come on.

May not be relevant but a search on the web brought up an article for grand Cherokees about using a magnet around each valve stem in a retraining procedure. Www.wjjeeps.com/tpms.
I will most likely just put the new ones on and drive it to see what happens. The tires I am putting on are the same size as stock so I do not need to worry about the mph. I am not going to invest in a procal just to turn that light off if it should come on.
