Default Tire sensor question on changing wheels

I have a new 2012 sport with the 17" stock wheels. I will soon be replacing them with take-off wheels/tires from a 2012 rubicon. I do not really know how the sensors function. Will I need to do anything after I swap out the wheels?

swap the sensors or get an AEV procal to get rid of the dash light and to adjust the MPH

Pretty sure you won't run into an issue with the sensor coming on... if you do, you're gonna either have to deal with it, or get the ProCal to turn it off....thats really the only thing you can do.

The wheels i will be putting on already have the sensors in them. So I am taking off wheels that have sensors and putting on wheels that have sensors.

ok, so put em on and see what happens. Its not like your jeep will blow up if you run the wrong PSI and the light on your dash comes on. If it does, like stated above, the only way to turn it off is to disable the TPMS with a ProCal (cheaper route) or a Flashpaq (more expensive).

Got me fellow Jersian?

I believe you might just have to program the new sensors with ur jeep. Probably best to just swap the "smart " ends of all 5 sensors.

You can run any as the ProCal gives you the option to completely disable any tire pressure sensor... You can set it at 0 and the light will never come on.

May not be relevant but a search on the web brought up an article for grand Cherokees about using a magnet around each valve stem in a retraining procedure. Www.wjjeeps.com/tpms.
I will most likely just put the new ones on and drive it to see what happens. The tires I am putting on are the same size as stock so I do not need to worry about the mph. I am not going to invest in a procal just to turn that light off if it should come on.
