Ultimate Dana 60 Wheel Fitment

I have yet to find a thread that tells us what wheels will fit on the UD60 in a 17" size. I have found on several threads that slabs will not work...meaning that Spyderlocks will not as well. Any knowledge you have, please post up. Thanks!

Invest2m4 10-30-2015 11:34 AM

You are correct - ATX or related are a no-go. Trail Ready will fit and those are bad ass. Call NR4x4, they probably have a good idea of what will fit.

Trail Ready or Walker Evans would be your best options for beadlocks. Of the two I would recommend Trail Ready's.

I'm running Trail Ready. Honestly I'm not sure the backspace. They are 17s though. I got them from Northridge. Sean is who I dealt with. I bought the axles and wheels from him and he set it up perfectly IMO. Thanks again Sean!

When these first came out there was a big warning hitting the net about ATX wheels not fitting,
Now, it seems the current posts say that is incorrect and ATX wheels fit.

Any threads or links showing those fit? The goal of this thread is to have a source of wheels we know that fits the UD60.

I installed the UD60s a few weeks ago. I had zero fitment issues with the ATX Chamber Pro IIs (4" bs). I'm not a big fan of the slabs, but liked the thick rings the ATX's offer. My other choice where the Raceline Monsters, which I've been told fit as well.

I don't want to break any posting rules but There's an 80pg thread over on JKO on the UD60s that includes wheel talk.

twinz33 12-08-2015 06:39 AM

Wanted to bump this thread to see if anyone else can add to the wheel fitment of these axles... Ive still not seen any evidence that 17in slabs fit.

jkbarnett 12-08-2015 07:16 AM

The center bore of the wheel seems to be the issue. The 60's need 4.84" or 122.88 mm.

I thought it had to do with the wheel fitting over the caliper.

Slabs have a center bore of 4.9 I believe. I've seen 18in slabs on, center bore is the same. From what I've understood it is the inner casting that rubs the brakes. Northridge4x4 let me know that when purchasing wheels. But I've read a couple of claims that this was a myth/false info given out. But nobody seems to be able to clarify that

Found this picture online and have emailed the shop about the build. Looks to be 17in slabs on the ultimate dana 60's. Hopefully I'll get some good info back on the fitment process. Will post back once I learn more

Im running the 05+ Super duty 60 front and 05+ sterling 10.5 rear (bolth full width). I got the trail ready 10" wide 17s with a 4.5 back spacing with 41.5x12.50 pitbulls and only sit about 1.5" wider then I did with my stock axles and 37x12.50s (.75 of an inch each side). Trail ready are pretty sweet, made right here in Washington state USA, not china junk.

And if your worried about caliper clearance, the Super duty dana 60 uses the biggest brakes of all the dana 60s that I know of.

So... anymore info on this... will 17x9 ATX Slabs fit on the Ultimate Dana 60.

If not, recommended rims?

Old post, I know, but those look more like Raceline/Allied Beadlocks. Slabs have fewer bolts for the ring which is 28 I believe. Raceline typically runs 32 bolts for the ring. Not sure what those have. Too lazy to count.

If I remember correctly, Slabs won't work but the ATX Chamber's will. I've seen several with TrailReady's.

17" slabs will not work. Get 18"+ or go with trail readys. Both great beads

Extremneon 07-11-2016 09:43 PM

There is alot back and forth about will 17" Slabs fit on a Ultimate Dana 60.

Marcus at River City Offroad said today they would fit over the phone.

highoctane 07-12-2016 09:24 PM

I have personally seen 17" ATX Slabs and 17" ATX Chamber Pro II wheels on three JKs with Spicer UD60 axles. One had Slabs, the other two both had Chamber Pro IIs.

Awesome, fixing to order some up for my Spicer UD60

17in slabs do fit. Check out 2XTreme_JKUR Facebook for photos of them. Some of these axles wheel studs are not properly seated causing these to be such a tight fit it may seem not to work

Well... I am going to put it to the test and will report back. I have five 17x9 ATX Slabs on the way and will know shortly.

Extremneon 07-23-2016 09:52 AM

Alright..

The ATX Slabs 17x9 in the 8 lug will clear the rear Spicer UD60 with no problem. I will try the front next once I get it bolted up on the Jeep.

Looking good! Can't imagine any different result with the front at this point

Extremneon 07-23-2016 12:16 PM

I wouldn't either at this point.

Just wanted to be able to clear up the fact the ATX Slabs will fit. Took a little wiggling, mainly like some had said to get the powder coat off.

Pretty easy fit actually.

Extremneon 07-24-2016 06:32 PM

Front is bolted on, just a bit of trimming on the drivers side shock mount to finsh up for the coilover.

The ATX Slabs fit just fine on the front Spicer UD60 axle, no issues.

sounds great! You'll have to post up some photos when it's all finished

Will post up some picturea when I get it all done.

Radicalrandy 07-25-2016 10:24 AM

I have the Trailready and Racelines and both work fine.

SLO 10-02-2018 06:25 AM

I assume that the XD229 Machete Beadlocks should fit but anyone tried them that can confirm?

Dzldust 11-14-2018 05:39 PM

I run 17x9 DirtyLife BLs with 4.5bs,work great

Digger 5 11-15-2018 08:38 AM

That looks sharp!
I used 17" TrailReady's with 5" BS. The only issue I've had is with tire weights. Even tho they didn't take much weight, you have to watch where they are mounted so they don't interfere with the calipers.

Punisher40 01-25-2019 10:26 AM

Do the Eklipse 17x10s work with these axles?
