Widest tire on stock Jeep jk Sahara rim

What would be the widest tire I could run on a stock Jeep jk Sahara rim without spacers? And what other problems could I see from adding these wider tires? Pictures would be nice as well.

According to Discount Tire, a 265/70r/17 is the largest tire for the stock rim.

will this cause any rubbing I should add my Jeep jk came with jl stock rims I don’t know if they are any different sizes my main concern is rubbing and clearance thanks.

I am currently running 275/70/18 BF Goodrich T/A KO2s on my stock sahara and it only rubs at full lock. I use my jeep as my daily driving vehicle so it doesn't touch off road much, if at all. I do not know what size rims you have as I'm unsure if the JL's come with the same size rim that JK Sahara comes with (18 inch).

that’s good to know do you have much space between the fenders or would it hit them if the suspension flexed?

I do not have much space between the fenders and the tire. I believe they would hit if the suspension is flexed. If you go off-road I would definitely recommend getting a lift. I do not go off-road, so I am content on only adding wheel spacers to my jeep.
