That is awesome!!! I am def gonna add this to my list!! Did you consider using wing nuts? it would not require you to use a wrench when removing the jack just your fingers....just a thought!! great write up... thanks for sharing.

Thought about it, and it definitely is a good idea, I just wanted that sucker on right, no wiggle room. I'm sure the wing nuts will work just aw well.

Nice write-up, but wouldn't wingnuts be more appropriate to remove the jack easier?

 

Considered wing nuts but decided against it because of how much tighter if can be attached. I always carry tools with me so I'm not worried about not having a wrench. I can hang from the hi-ift and it doesn't budge, Plus I have some plans to rig up something to hang from it for more storage or for more tool mounts.

 

Looks sweet. Does it make any noise? i feel like it would rattle

 

Took all of 20 minutes

 

Just finished my install a few mins ago. I'm so happy that its up and out of the way, much better than being on the tailgate upright so u can't pull into the garage. Awesome write-up but I had to go to Lowe's cuz home depot only had 1 u-bolt.
