I did it to make room for an extended cubby, and did not move the evap. I am just gonna go the skid route. Muffler is a round, 2.5", polished SS Walker/Dynomax Ultra-flo, from Summit for $72, two band clamps @ $8 each, and a custom tail pipe (I think around $40-MIDAS). The cubby is currently being fabbed, by me, and will be 11 ga and deeper/bigger than the Woods version, and a whole bunch cheaper. It is a bit louder, and to get an idea of how loud, just search for WOL's Dynomax "rockcrawler" exhaust clip on YouTube. I haven't noticed any more heat, and it doesn't sit right underneath the driver, that would be impossible, due to crossmembers, cats, etc. Here is my thread, that includes pics and part numbers.

This is a good write up here. It is easier to take this muffler and install in the stock location as well, not that putting it in front of the axle is overly hard, just a little more involved.
This link has a lot of pics that might give you some ideas.
