Default Advice needed

I have a 2 door 2010 Wrangler Sahara and have trouble comfortably reaching the accelerator and brake pedals without having the steering wheel too close (I'm only 5 ft.) and wondered what would be the best way to bring the pedals closer. The dealer won't do it for liability reasons so a friend has offered to make some out of wood and install them for me, but I wondered what others have done as I want to make sure it is safe.

Thank you,

Karen in MI

If I put the steering wheel any closer it will be against me which isn't safe. The recommended distance is 10" and I'm already closer than that.

Hm, I'm not sure how to help with that. Best bet would be to get wood blocks, but paint them black! A goofy mod, but hey, whatever works

The pedals may have an adjustment?

If not maybe aftermarket pedals will help.

Or you can fab up something....I would look into something metal wrapped in rubber or with some type of non-skid over wood.

If you find a local fabricator that works on racecars etc., they may have some experience with different pedal configurations.
Good luck
