Default Bad Luck with Bushwacker

Bad luck with Bushwacker

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recently I requested a local Off-Road Shop to obtain and install Bushwacker Flat Fenders on my '13 JK 2dr. This project took over 2 weeks to complete, the reason Bushwacker sent out an incomplete container. There were no mounting brackets. The shop owner called Bushwacker for the missing parts, bushwacker only sent the front brackets, upon noticing this the shop owner called Bushwacker and requested the rear brackets. The person at bushwacker was very upset with the shop owner. We waited for another week for the parts, the shop owner called back again and a different person reported no order had every been submitted. He requested to talk to a manager, who reported the first person was upset with the shop owner and did not place the order. I, also had sent several emails to Bushwacker requesting their help in this matter, the never answered or called me.

Very poor customer service.

Sounds like we need to send a message to bushwhacker. Like a boycott or something

Wow that's crazy. They were good to me when I needed new adhesive for the fenders.

Classic sign of a shop dropping the ball. "Backordered" = shop forgot to do something. I managed a custom car audio place where the owner would give customers BS excuses for his forgetting to do something. His favorite was "it's on backorder." Regardless, I hope you finally get your Jeep taken care of.

How do you square the shop lying with this line from the original post?

"I, also had sent several emails to Bushwacker requesting their help in this matter, the never answered or called me."

That's a very good point. However, just always be aware of the "backorder" term at shops. More often than not, it's them forgetting something.

Without an order number, receipt etc how is bushwhacker to know who he is? The order was done by the shop - so they are the customer. How many people email and call trying to score extra parts? Prob more than we'd expect.
