I think the white inside is more of a cost factor in time and materails then keeping it cool or they would of left the outside white. The top comes white then sprayed black and as we all know that paint doesnt stick to well, so it was probably not preped to well.

That looks great, my ruby is black so now I can see what it would look like if I painted my top. thanks!! I am sure this has given other people ideas, like why not paint your top interior to match your body colour! Has anyone done this?

I haven't seen this, but it might not be very attractive on colors like yellow or red. But who knows. I have silver and the only thing I can think of is lights at night creating a mirrored ball effect inside the jeep. Definitely can't have that.

I agree, it should have looked like that from the dealer. I wanna do that to my hard top. I am waiting however for someone to "Dynamat" the inside of the roof panels and then mount custom interior panels over it. Interesting idea huh?

Yeah, I was going to mention a few things.

1. You will add major weight to the top

2. It must be done correctly, because on those hot days, it will peel like a banana.

That looks great, definately a consideration for mine. The white doesn't make any since to me.

I love it black. Easier to see out the windows without the white around them, plus it just looks freaking great!
