This way, I can just activate the switches before I go wheeling by turning the key and then disable them as soon as I'm done.
That same knuclehead might decide to put your Jeep in 4Lo and press the factory locker switch just for "the experience" too... My point is you can't worry about everything all the time... I really don't think you'll have a problem. Plus... look at it this way... if he/she decides to take your Jeep 4-wheel'n if they have access to the lockers via your custom switches, maybe there is a better chance they'll bring it back unharmed (less chance of getting stuck w/lockers)

I agree that you can't worry about everything all the time, but I think the small amount of work required for a little peace of mind is worth it. I'm also planning on wiring up an in-cab winch controller too and am putting a key switch on that as well. Hopefully, it will turn out OK.

it just flashes non stop
i have a lit switch and installed a no lit switch in buddies jk and his flashes as well
you are over riding the computer so it will just flash cause it isn't supposed to be on. So that is the warning that there is an issue, but there is no issue cause we have the switch and we turned it on so only we know what is going on, simply we are trickin the brain of our jeeps.

Hi there,

you can use the stock locks symbols of your cluster with this mod, but it require some tech to achieve this besides have at hand the StarScan.

So all that needs to be done is splice into the violet wire on the front and rear locker relays, and run those through a switch and to a ground, to make this work? Thanks in advance, im horrible at wiring

I'm not sure if it throws any codes, or at least my dealer didn't say anything about it. I had them check for TSBs a few weeks ago, and they said, yep, you need a few, we updated you and your good to go So, either they didn't care, couldn't find what was going on, didn't care or there were no codes thrown. But good question, i would be interested to know for sure.
