Bugs on windshield
Slightly OT, but I use this on my home fiberglass/Vinyl entry doors and windows, this stuff remover all of the smudges and fingerprints. Very quickly as well.
We use it to clean walls and other things
I am sure it would work on glass
Folks I am not saying use this daily or anything but it worked for my emergency aplication. That said there is nothing acidic about hydrogen peroxide to my knowledge is just water with extra oxygen. What happens is it somehow has more oxygen atoms bonded to the hydrogen and when applied to a surface containing organic components it releases the two extra oxygen and transforms into water. As it does the oxygen lifts stuff up with it while the water rinses it out. At 3% the standard for wound cleansing it is so diluted you can put it on an open cut w/o damage. At 15% it will bleach the pigment out of your fingers or hair (It's used in lightening hair) because it lifts away the color. They even inject low percentages in some outlandish forms of cosmetic surgery saying it oxygenates the blood and thus the cells reducing the signs of aging. I would worry if we were talking high percentages here but at 3% you could pratically drink it. Take it for what you will and if you worry about it don't use it. Me I am going to have a spray bottle with me for long trips especially spring through fall so I don't have to stop and look for stuff to wash the bugs off the windshield when I am on the road. Notice my reasoning and why I suggested it. I do not say clean it all the time with this stuff or use an abrasive (steel wool or magic eraser) but for ocasional use it works.
It clearly states not for high gloss surfaces on the packaging. I personally would not use it on glass or any finished surface as it is slightly abrasive.
Even bugs are so attracted to your sexy new JK they gawk for just a little too long

I rainx the windshield about once a week. I have also waxed the windshield with turtle wax or similar with nearly the same result. The guts don't roll off like water, but it does seem to help and take less scrubbing, etc...
I use a razor blade to scrape the bugs off the windshield, and I re-wax the grill at least once every two weeks. (when the little critters splats on my grill, I just simply wipe them off with a damp towel)
