Default Daystar Dash Panel

So I have been searching and searching but cant find it. I thought I saw (a while ago) but someone put their lower dash panel above the mirror. Does anyone have the link to these.. There were two of them and now I cant find it.

So I wasnt going to but then I decided to turn this into a write up..

Its my first time so be gentle.

First I pulled all of the pieces out of the Jeep (see link above)

Next I cut down the Daystar Panel and trimmed and cleaned the edges.

After that I lined up where I wanted the panel. I decided to put it off to the left so if I wanted to add a second one in the future there will be room.

This is the "no turning back point". I used a Dremel with a cut off wheel to cut a 4.5" x 2.75" hole in the plastic header. DONT USE A DREMEL FOR THIS BAD IDEA! It is a pain in the ass use a razor blade or an exacto knife.

I then had to trim down the supports in the header so the panel would slide in flat.

I used 2 Ton Epoxy to attach the panel to the header

So now Im just letting it sit over night to dry

I saw this idea AFTER I had mounted my CB overhead the rearview mirror. The only word that came to mind was "shit..." I love that spot for more buttons and I'll need a new place after Christmas when I get more KC lights. BTW those little clips are a bitch to find! The stealership wanted me to buy the entire panel and wouldn't just sell me the clip Luckily a forum member had a few lying around. Anyways, nice job on the mod.
