DIY Quick Disconnect
EDIT: Since doing this DIY project I subsequently installed a set of JKS Quicker Disconnects. Just wanted to let folks know I'm no longer running the DIY set-up. It worked well for me as an interim solution, but you can definitely feel the difference with a more solid/snug fitting set-up like the JKS's.

This is a perfect solution! I knew there was a way to insert a pin, but I wasn't smart enough to figure out which on and what size. This is a perfect write-up and thanks for the great pictures. It sure will beat getting the tools out every time to disconnect the bar. A+!

I am not sure why you would only want one side disconnected??? I have heard that before, but it seems strange and restricting for your other side of the Jeep.

I just finished my mod this afternoon and it seemed to work perfect on the road. I tested the disconnect when I got home to go hit an offroad spot and it took all of 2 1/2 minutes to disconnect. That was disconnecting both of them. I went with two disconnects at Lowe's and spent $13.67 (including Lithium grease). This is just another reason I am a member here on this forum. Always others with great ideas! Thanks Roxster!
If you don't do both sides and that sway link breaks free from the sway bar, it's going to flap around and could wind up in your springs. If you do both sides you will be able to swing that bar up and out of the way. Much better IMHO. But again, a great idea for a cheap mod.
