The drive
Ok, so I quite literally just drove 1100 miles straight in my '14 JKUS, stopping only to get gas and use the facilities. To begin with, this was not a bad drive, it's a jeep so I wasn't looking for a Cadillac ride. Sure it's rough, but not what I was expecting, this was definitely better then I thought it would be. The seat was comfortable, I have made this same trip in an '05 Toyota highlander and also an '11 Hyundai sonata. I honestly feel the seat was more comfortable than either one of those, which I had found myself doing the butt cheek swap more than once, not this time. With a few rolling hills, but mostly flat roads, a little morning traffic and slight head winds, I have averaged a decent 19.3 mpg. I am also running 255 75 17 BFG mud terrain KM's. I am actually shocked that the total cost of fuel for my one way trip was 164.$ regular unleaded. All I can say is that I am very pleased and would have no problem doing a trip like this again.
