I like that set-up alot, very good idea. Almost makes me want to put a rack on my roof. Again, very good. :clap:

ps: do you have a photo of it rolled-up ?

Where ohhhh where did you find that? And how much if ya' mind me asking?

Is it easily removable when not needed?

I LOVE the idea & look of that.

What lights are those on the back? I've been looking for lights (besides the delta HID's) with handles on them to maneuver them around.

Land Rover Worklamps from expeditionexchange.com. They have a swivel base AND a switch on the back. This way, I can turn on the circuit with a panel switch, but as we're busy around camp, can turn them on/off at the light itself.

roverparts.com (Atlantic British). Hannibal is made in Africa, so it's kinda pricey in the US (and worse if you import into Canada, like I did). It's about twice the cost of other awnings, BUT it doesn't use vertical poles, which is a big plus for me (quick setup and no additional parts to carry around). Setup is about 1 minute, and stowing is about 2-3 mins. You can also order it with sides (I did) which give you two screened windows and a door.

Depends what you call easy, but yeah, just 8 bolts on 4 clamps. I'll probably leave it on for the whole summer and remove it for winter. I have a good way to lock it up on the rack too. Check out the pictures I'll post later. :-)

Thanks js.... yeah: after I saw this I began my search- you aint kiddin! They are kinda pricy but MAN do they look nice. Its going *on the list* of future mods.......................... may the lottry Gods smile upon us favorabley...SOON!

this looks great. I have plans to get a Hannible awning after I get some sort of roof rack. The best parts of the hannible awning is that there are no legs and you can get the sides to turn it into a room for severe weather camping. Pair it with a roof tent and it is the ultimate setup.
